Pricing runs the world
My name is Daniel. My own intro to pricing and making money started when I was a kid selling lemonade (it made almost no money, but did provide the idea for this website). The lemonade stand problem is universal in business. What am I selling? How good is it? Is the price I charge worth it and fair? How do I get customers? How do I make them happy enough to come back for more?
It sounded simple but I learned there is a never-ending list of ways to screw it all up.
The most underestimated? The price. And so began an obsession to figure out what things cost, why, and how to get better at making money.
That’s why this blog exists. To get into pricing applications across business, technology, and history.
The experiences that have shaped my thinking on the subject are working as a pricing & monetization expert at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), leading M&A pricing strategy at Salesforce.com, and doing an MBA at Duke. I also have an entirely unrelated degree in Chemical Engineering because why not. Feel free to reach out here or on LinkedIn.
